Use about 1-3 Tablespoons of olive oil to add some flavor to your okra and tomatoes instead of using lots of butter. The olive oil offers “healthy” unsaturated fats while giving a delicious taste. Use garlic, spices, and herbs to season, such as Mrs. Dash, onion powder, and basil.
Last night, I made myself a small pot of Okra & Tomatoes using tomatoes and okra from Mrs. Kathy’s garden, Italian Pepper Herb Blend (one of those pepper/spice grinders), garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a little olive oil.
