Ryan & Ellen’s Famous Chili

1 1/2 pounds beef
1 onion
2 (28-ounce) cans tomatoes
1 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chilies
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 chopped jalapeno pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
