Turkey Turnovers

1 cup fresh mushrooms, quartered
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp dried thyme leaves
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1/3 cup fat free half-and-half
1 cup chopped turkey
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 can (8 oz) reduced fat refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook mushrooms, onions,
garlic, and thyme in a skillet over medium-high heat
until onions are soft.
Add flour and cook 1 minute or until well blended,
stirring constantly. Stir in half-and-half, cook
while stirring until thickened. Add turkey, salt, and
pepper.
Remove crescent rolls from package. Flatten and
separate into 8 triangles. Spoon 1/8 turkey mixture
onto each crescent roll. Roll up, folding in ends.
Place on baking sheet and bake 10-15 minutes or until
golden brown. Serve hot. Yield: 8 turnovers
