One of the most frequently asked questions I get is, “how do I lose weight?” While many of us know the right things to do, most of us have trouble disciplining ourselves to do those things. According to new research published by the drug company, Pfizer, a phone call each week can lead to increased weight-loss success.
The research followed 400 obese people who were trying to lose weight. Those who received a phone call every week from a registered dietitian actually lost as much weight as those who had one-on-one weekly sessions with the dietitian.
My guess is that having someone to be accountable to can dramatically improve your chance of success at weight loss (or any endeavor, for that matter). So, find a buddy and ask them to give you a call each week to help you stay faithful on your eating plan.
