Since she was out of town over mother’s day weekend, Ryan and I celebrated Mother’s day with his mother this past Sunday. We told Mrs. Teresa that we were going to do the cooking and that she should relax and enjoy herself. So, it was Ryan’s idea to get shrimp, his dad got steaks, and Ryan wanted to make some Orange Salad, too. I picked up some vegetables and skewers and made the recipe I’m publishing today, baked some fries, heated bread, and enjoyed Angel Food Cake with strawberries and whipped topping as well. Over all, I was very pleased with the dinner we prepared. Every mom needs a day off, so I’m glad we got to cook for both Ryan’s mom and his sister-in-law, Melinda (and brother, Joel), for a special mother’s day treat.
