Healthy Cooking Tip – Grill it Up!

In order to decrease the amount of fat in your meat, go ahead and grill out. Grilling, baking, broiling, and sauteing are all healthier cooking methods for your meat than frying. Frying foods adds starches (from the breading) and fats (from the oil) that can easily be avoided by simply using a different cooking method.

For great grilled meat, here are the Easley’s favorite recipes:

– Hamburgers – Season both sides of burger with lemon pepper and seasoning salt before grilling.

– Chicken (all cuts) – Marinate meat in reduced-fat Italian dressing for several hours or overnight. Season with lemon pepper and seasoning salt before grilling.
