Healthy Holiday Cooking Tip

If you know you are going to a dinner or party with mostly high calorie options, offer to bring something. Your light Dip with veggies or low-calorie Spinach Squares will offer you (and everyone else) a healthy alternative to fill your plate. If possible, offer to bring a “lite dessert” and label it as a lite dish. Others at the function will appreciate you for it!

I tried this out by taking healthy appetizers for our Thanksgiving feasts and made Pumpkin Spice Dip and a Sweet Potato Cheeseball with low-fat and fat-free cream cheese. Both dips were a hit!
