Herb Substitutions

Herb Substitutions

This week’s recipe calls for several different herbs. While you may have only dried herbs on hand, it’s alot of fun to try substituting fresh herbs instead. Fresh herbs (either grown in your own garden or bought at the store) offer a fresh taste to your food that you can’t get from dried herbs.
When substituting fresh herbs for dry herbs (or vice versa), use a 3:1 ratio.
For example: 3 teaspoons fresh basil could be substituted for 1 teaspoon of dried basil in your favorite recipe.
