Oven “Fried” Chicken

After learning about a new way to “oven fry” chicken, I decided to develop my own Oven “Fried” Chicken recipe. You can create your own flavor of “fried” chicken by using flavored baked chips and coordinating seasonings. Try using barbecue, sour cream & onion, or ruffled baked chips for variety. Enjoy!

3 to 3 1/2 pounds chicken pieces
Salt and Pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
1 cup crushed baked chips

Preheat oven to 375°. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Combine the sour cream, chili powder, and green onions. Coat chicken pieces in sour cream mixture, rolling in mixture to coat evenly. Dip coated chicken pieces into the crushed chips. Arrange chicken pieces in a greased baking dish. Bake for about 1 hour, or until chicken is tender and juices run clear.

Serves 4
