Spiced Tea Mix

Spiced Tea Mix

This week, I am featuring beverage recipes in both my regular newsletter today and Holiday Specials newsletter this Friday. These two recipes for Spiced Tea and Hot Chocolate are from my friend, Jo Lynn Burns, from Columbus. We have enjoyed both of these recipes with the Burns for years, so I am so thankful to be able to add them to my own recipe collection now.

This spiced tea recipe was originally made with regular Tang and sugar, but by using sugar-free Tang and Splenda, you can significantly decrease the calories in your beverage. This tea works well to put in decorated baby food jars, canning jars, or cute little baggies and give to friends and family at Christmas-time. Enjoy!

1 (1-pound) jar sugar-free Tang
1 package lemonade mix (the little packets w/ no sweetener)
3/4 cup instant tea
2 cups sugar or Splenda
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Mix all ingredients well. Place in jar, cover tightly.

To serve: Mix 2 teaspoons Spiced Tea Mix per cup of boiling water.

Yield: 30 servings.
