Workout Update – 30 Days of The Shred

So, as begun last week, I’m still on my 30-day workout routine. Today is day 9 – not sure when the last time I worked out 9 days in a row was – probably sometime before knee surgery (2004) or in high school! But, I’m committed – it’s not a resolution, it’s a change!

I’m doing the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD. It’s not like it’s the best or only workout DVD out there, but it’s a really good, non-corny (if you’ve ever done a corny one, you know what I’m talking about), effective, 20-minute workout DVD for $9! I’m already seeing results! Basically, it’s 20 minutes of intense workout out using simple and effective basic moves – push-ups, crunches, squats, etc.

The workout has 3 levels – 1 per 10 days. I choose to try out level 2 yesterday, just to check out if I could hack it. Well, I hacked it! It was definitely a step up. Today, I’m back to level 1 and then I’ll move to level 2 after day 10.

I’m committed – not because I just want some great body, but because being healthy is important for me. If my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, I must keep it in good condition. Therefore, I work out! Besides, how can I stand in front of a class and tell people why they should workout if I can’t?
